A Career Seminar

I went for a seminar on last Saturday noon at the Fullerton Hotel. Initially I thought that it is some educational seminar like what NTUC Income always does, however it turned out to be a "You can be a successful insurance agent!!" kinda seminar...

Tina is currently working for a company called "Strategic Partners". It is a company which partners with Prudential. Therefore, it is more or less an insurance agency as this is what we call them in Income. Anyway, I was not too surprised that it was such a seminar coz when me n veggie reached there, we saw many many young people and as well as quite a no. of Financial Consultant-looking ppl.. We then realise that most prob we are goin to attend some sales career talk.. Which we soooo do not want to..

But becos Tina is my fren and since we were already there, we decided that we will just stay for a while. It was so difficult to get outta there halfway thru, so we stayed till the end.. Veggie apparently wasnt too happy about it.. Tina apologised that she din knew it's such a seminar as she thought that it is a talk which tells us more about prudential products and their benefits. We really wana know more about itz products instead of wanting to sell insurance for them.. Haha.. aniway we left straight after the seminar..

Phew after all these, veggie n i went to esplanade for the free outdoor shows and my God! we watched the best free show at esplanade in our lives! By Trisno Ishak and his band! they r sooo good in Jazz n some blues and Bossa! haha OMG! i hope they have a cd or something so i can buy n listen o more of them!!

That's about all for last Saturday.. to think that today is already Wednesday and I'm on leave tomoroe!!!! YAY!

Sooooo cute!! Shez a winter white! My lovely Mimi!~ Bought a new hamster in early June, initially thought that we can get hammie (our 1st hamster) a companion/fren but turned out hammie BITES Mimi! the person in the pet shop told us to put baby powder on both them so they will get used to each otherz smell but HE WAS WRONG! eeee... aniwae lucki we also got one new cage for our sweet (but poor) mimi...

SRC D&D!! I'm so tired of toking about it.. aniwae most ppl noe wat happened n stuffs la.. so dun bother too much about blogging it out.. but herez the pics of the fun!! the dancers reallie had great fun tat day and thru out the practices!~ gee..

I ordered the Ice Cubes Coffee which has cubes with shapes of Stars and Hearts~ hee n junie ordered a Ginseng Birdnest Drink.. taste good too!~ :p and itz a really nice place to chill out, really! Oh gosh! itz been sooo long since i last updated my blog.. haa.. aniwae i hav so many things to update actually.. so many things have been happening but i simply had no time n erm.. din really have the resources to update them!

but now ive got my BrownieBook! very very happiee.. gee take a look at my new Dell notebook:

Itz the Dell Inspiron 6400. I bought it online and the good thing is that I can customise my own specs n make it my pretty-ideal notebook!! gee n wif the quite-good specs, it is pretty cheap! haha.. BUT the prob i have is INTERNET! coz im actually staying at my auntie's plc for now (since itz nearer to work), so i need my cousinz internet connection. I actually got a linksys wireless g router for the wireless connection n an ethernet modem (as my kuz one is a usb modem) BUT only to find out that he DOES NOT HAVE AN ETHERNET PORT!!! duhhh.. so so.. i have been "borrowing" other pplz wireless network for awhile.. i noe im very bad but tiz iz the oni way i can get connected! :o

okok enuff of the internet.. umm i have LOOOAAADDDSSSS of pictures from both my izoom n k750i..but i duno where the photoshop 7 has gone to! so.. i dun have any photo editing program.. n so.. i dun have any fotoz now for uploading. but i will sure upload them once ive edited!! Have fotoz for practices of the SRC retro rhapsody, our new hamster Mimi, bbq @ xinyou's plc, the actual D&D nite, Hazelz Bdae Celebration, outing with junie........

And.. I'm planning to study in end of July. Taking Bachelor of Computer Science awarded by the University of Adelaide. The course offered is specifically designed for IT Diploma holder's from Singapore's Polytechnics. These students must have average B-grade n their diploma and will be able to get advanced standing of up to 2 years. The total course fees is about $16K to $17K. Itz actually distance learning, taking the course at Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre located near Dobhy Ghaut.

About 2 years back when I went for the Study in Australia Exhibition, University of Queensland and University of Adelaide were in my list of preferred unis as they are very established and well known. But the only problem I had was MONEY! where on earth was I goin to get the 30 to 40K to study over there!!!?? So i just gave up the idea of studying overseas. I had thought that the best thing for me will be studying part time and still working full time. And i figured out that itz impossible to save up that crazy amt within a short period of time.. most probably only in 15 yrz time, then i will have the money.

BUT time is very precious. i have have have to grab hold of this young age to do all the things i wana do. I wana work n earn money, study and get my degree, learn new things, set up my official online jewellery store, go out with friends, continue to improve my relationship with my bf.... haha so many things to do.. aniwae yup if i do study, those "future plans" will have to be on hold already! hmm quite sad.. coz not sure when that sweetest moment in my life will come.. n now studies is going to b my top priority.. seems like ill get busier than ever.. the degree is going to take me about 2 years to complete. Veggie told me I have to do very well in it coz after all itz not a local U as companies in SG usually prioritise Local U grads..

Tomoro veggie is accompanying me to the school for a short tour and meetup with the program exec and of coz for the application of the course.. And will be getting an education loan frm TCC. Not goin to elaborate much on the loan though.. Gosh im suddenly so tired.. okie im gona slp already. Phew tomoro is Friday!!!!!!~ :D

n afta all these me n zandy going to the IE6 BBQ at Xinyou's hse! haha zandy is from IE3 n im from IE4.. ahaha i tink maybe got IE5 ppl?? like faisal.. huiyi..? err i really duno.. but hope later will be fun!! errmm.. abit sad coz my camera is now in KOREA wif veggie's mum..so have to use my phone camera.. hope zandy takes loads of pics wif her semi-pro exilim later though!! :D

I'm on leave today.. so finally got the time to update my blog. :x actually im havin my HI exam tomoro.. so sian.. :x ill juz try my best tomoro. coz i haven really studied much for the exam!!! :o

Aniwae here r the fotoz i have taken over the weekend.. 1stly on Friday, I went to Geraldine's Wedding with the IEs at Furama Hotel :p

Next time i muz bring veggie to tat italian restaurant at tanjong pagar which ive gone to wif june i tink last yr.. ahaha.. love the pasta there! :p though a lil too exp.. :p

Hee been very happy about going for fitness classes.. The first class i went for was kickboxing on last Thursday at East Point Amore.. :) Very good exercise there n i sweat a whole lot!~ aniwae this morning went for Jazz class at Bugis Village Hall 1 :) haha the instructor is a young malay guy called Hamzah.. he taught us warm up for 1/2 hr n the rest is choreography.. oh n the dance today was exotic n very sexy! going to dance to kevin wahahahaha...

oopz aniwae afta tat me n isabella went for gym at bugis junc coz bugis v dun have gym facilities.. used the treadmill n cross trainer.. actually i find that ya the gym at amore is not fascinating at all lor.. :p but the classes not bad :) u can really sweat n feel revitalised afta each class.. im so looking forward to the rest of the 10 classes! oh n i miss hip hop! :D

Right now im waiting to go to HMV or somewhere that sells jap dvds or jap items n buy his latest Video!

Yesterdae was a Fridae n it was a great dae! haha.. actually at work was still ok la.. as usual, a lil pek chek here n there but was ok afta while.. :p aniwae i was all soo excited about signing up for the amore power package! n the good thing is tat i will have a kaki to go for classes n gym wif me! :) hee.. isabella actually smsed me tat she saw my blog entry on wanting to sign up for fitness classes..n i was soo happie! :D hee n so yesterdae we met up at bugis to sign up :)

Look at the lil folder full of brochures n vouchers they have given me! n bcoz isabella is an existing member there, i get a 50% off membership subscription fee! err, which was about $18+ less la..oh, n bcoz i sign up, isabella getz a free $30 spa voucher~ :)

Hee see see, they gave me a 15% discount voucher off active wear purchased a amore, a free VPL hair removal treatment voucher (oopz hahaha!), $50 Spa Voucher, 2 $10 Discount Membership Subscription Vouchers for my frenz if they wana sign up!~ :D haha... good good! :D

I paid $207 for the whole thing, comprising of 12 classes over 3 mths - $189 (good for a beginner like me) + one-time membership subscription fee. a lil ex compared to those California or Fitness First unlimited packages but there is no joining fee which can cost over few hundreds! :D And for a start, i dun tink i can make it for gym n classes so many times per mth (to make the unlimited package worthwhile)...

Aniwae we are goin to go for class starting from next week.. hopefully thurs for Hi/Lo :D gee.. im soo excited! :D n thanx isabella for going together :D

After signing up, went to Kipling n bot my long-wanted 3-compartments purse.. itz very good! coz itz roomy n durable :) n i love the pink color! hee.. they gave me a free kipling magnet also :)

When itz time we go off, isabella n her fren whom she brot along (junhao) left to take mrt, i walked over to bugis street, wanted to take bus home but was a lil tempted to walk into the streets :x n so i went shopping a lil.. omg, look at what i bot (spend money again!!) Initially wanted to buy just accessories, in the end i bot 1 black pearl necklace, 1 stone necklace, 1 white clutch/handbag n 1 medium-sized sequined-ribbon purple bag! haha... n then the lady boss gave me quite abit of discount, few dollars here n there n i saved about $10 coz i bot so many things from her at one shot..! ;)

When i finally got on the bus back home, i called veggie n told him how i gave in to temptations! n he was like "niam-ing" me thru out.. :p :p aniwae promise promise, wont spend money le.. will oni spend on essentials like food n transport!! :o :x

Later im gona meet veggie at orchard coz hez at paradiz kbox now singing wif his fren, but itz raining now!!!!! mite juzt end up goin to bedok strait away... :x :x hope the rain will stop so i can go orchard meet him! :) Love veggie!!

Hee... celebrated tracia's bdae on last sat.. had so much fun tat dae eating, cracking jokes, laughing, walking ard the whole (boat& clarke) quay area, listening to songs at Muchuan n eating pizza cake!

hmm.. we went to tcc at circular rd (as requested by trace).. had a wonderful dinner there! i was soo full!! but too bad we were not allowed to take any fotoz there... hmm butbutbut! we still "sneaked ard" there n took some nicey fotoz of the food n a lil bit of us! :p

i tink time really flies.. we know one another since i was in sec 1.. hmm.. bout 9yrs already! :p :p im so glad n blessed to have this bunch of great frenz, who were there for me when i needed them.. Thank u soo much my dearest Frenz4! :D Love u!! :D :D

Superband 【非常SuperBand】开唱争霸赛

My gosh! it was sooo crowded when the performance was about to start at the Fountain of Wealth, Suntec City on 25th Mar. It was supposed to start at 7pm.. but as usual, ppl cum in late and show starts late as well.. it started at 8pm!! whoa.. me n kev were there since about 5.30pm.. n we already "chope" seats.. but in the end realised tat itz better if we could have stood and watch before the crowd getz crazy.. Aniwae we din stay thru the whole thing, coz our legs were cramped and could not get up as the were ppl behind us putting the hands on the railings or wateva u call tat, above us! at about 9.30pm, afta the malay band performed, we left.. btw here r the pics!

Here u can see that the crowd is getting bigger n bigger and oh! i love the hosts! i duno y but i juz like jeff wang.. also like belinda.. n niu nai! haha.. actually most of the ppl there (mostly gerz..) were juz screaming for niu nai.. more than for the bands they were supporting for.. :p yup.. now i noe y they got niu nai here to be as a host.. coz they wan more ppl to watch the show :p

Okok the bands! i personally like Juz-B (the malay guyz band) the best.. actualli there were 9 more bands who would be performing afta Juz-B.. but we were too tired n cramped n sweaty n eww! haha so decided to leave.. aniwae we did have a fun time watching those bands n stuffs.. actually by that time, most "fans" have left after their fav bands have performed.. so somehow, the thing was abit too long and we kinda got a lil tired of the whole show already..

Oh when Juz-B performed, all the ppl were so amazed with their ability to sing chinese and a capella somemore! :p so good! and everyone juz clapped and praised and screamed... haha.. but im not too sure if they will actually survive thru the whole thing. Coz afta all it is a chinese singing competition, unless u can speak, listen and sing chinese as easiliy as ani other chinese, else the chances of getting thru it is v slim.. but still i give them a 95%! :D :D

The show should b starting in april ya? will be catching it! this is prob the oni Super-something show i really like from Channel U~ :)

Finally got a new pair of sports shoes.. :p My old Nike Women's Air Golden or something like that were spoilt coz the soles peeled off!! :x Chee wei sold to me his $100 Royal Sporting House Gift Voucher at $75! Haha.. and there was a 10% discount on all Regular-priced Adidas shoes :p haha.. sold in actual fact i paid for $90+ for the shoes.. here they are~
